A board or frame with pegs along two sides on which warp yarn is wound to measure out the length. Traditionally the weaver would place two trestles at a measured distance apart out in the open in the morning and walk back and forth to measure out the length for the warp. Now this can be done indoors, with the yarn measured running round the warping board pegs in a zigzag motion. This is faster and is not subject to the whims of weather.
