Attacus Atlas. Largest silk moth with a wing span of 9 inches (an Eri silk moth is only 4 inches), not used much to produce silk on a large scale. The silk produced by the Atlas Silk Moth is called ‘Fagara’. They feed on a variety of plants including lime, cinnamon, guava, cherry, rambutan, soursop and others and so are often treated as pests by farmers. It belongs to the Eri Silk Moth family.
